Here’s what we’re aiming for.
After about a 3-hour bus ride from Cairo city, we arrived at this scenery in less than half an hour,
Within 30 minutes, I was on the bus and saw this scenery.
It is drying up anyway.
It is really far from a Japanese service area, a terribly simple or shabby rest area.
Nature’s weathering, or rather, all artifacts, return to the sand in an instant in a place like this,
While I was thinking about this, I felt a little oasis,
I don’t know if the city came first or the desert came first, but in any case, I was amazed that the city was established under tremendous circumstances,
People can live strongly in any situation.
And then switched to the following four-wheel drive,
Restart!
Needless to say, we were soon back in the desert area again.
When I crossed the desert of Morocco in 2000 in an on-board bus, I still did not have Islamic values and thoughts in my mind, I felt fear in the emptiness of the desert, but this time I had passed through them and no longer had fear because I no longer felt that God was always looking down on me and watching over me.
Having said that. I don’t know when the worst will happen, when the car breaks down or the drivers are bad people, Still, there is nothing better than putting aside unnecessary fears and believing that your life and future are bright.
The passengers were all very positive thinking people.
The trip went on happily.
It is said that this area was originally an area of active volcanic activity in the past,
The scenery is truly beyond human understanding.
I wonder what the scene must have been like before humans entered this land.
It is truly a sense of eternity.
I don’t even know if this is a private house, but in any case, I would never be able to live without a car.
The sun is gradually setting and the sky is turning pink, finally,
It sounds cliché, but it looks exactly like the surface of the moon.
Then we arrived at the best point of this area.
Unspeakable emotion surged through me.
I am just overwhelmed by the beauty of this world.
We don’t have time to get philosophical about such things; the tents where we will spend the night be built by the drivers.
One of the drivers, Muhammad, who also speaks English, an old friend of Abdallah,
He was naturally a Muslim and told us about their rules and way of Islamic thought.
My friend Abdallah, he brought his Darbuka as a percussionist,
His wife is also a belly dancer, and we enjoyed their performance in the desert at night with a bonfire.
Mr. Muhammad asked me what my religion is, and I told him that Japanese people have a basic Aminist view of religion, and that I am studying Islam because of my experience in Senegal two years ago, and a debate broke out when I said that I do not think animism and Islam are far apart in my mind.
Islam, he says, is not animism at all.
It is not a belief in rocks, rivers, or oceans and their spirits, he says.
That’s for sure. But from what I have studied, God in Islam,
Allah exists in the entire universe and in the blood that flows in our veins.
If that’s the case, then doesn’t Allah exist in all the gross things we call the God of Yaorozu?, I said.
The rest of the group went to bed.
The two of us continued our discussion until the morning mist rose.
To be continued…
